This Privacy Policy explains how CookCraft (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you visit maxicookbook.comor use the CookCraft iOS application (the “Service”). CookCraft is a personal cookbook that displays high-protein recipes. We are committed to keeping data collection to the minimum needed to run the Service.
1. Information We Collect
CookCraft does not require an account, does not include sign-up or login forms, and does not ask you to submit personal information. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, contacts, photos, health data, or advertising identifiers.
The limited information we (or our service providers) automatically receive when you use the Service is:
- Standard request data. When your browser or the iOS app requests a page or API endpoint, our hosting provider records technical information such as IP address, user-agent string, referring URL, requested path, response status, and timestamp. This is standard server log data used to operate and secure the site.
- Aggregate usage metrics. Our hosting provider may produce aggregate, non-identifying traffic statistics (for example, total page views). We do not combine this with any identifying information.
- Crash and diagnostic reports (iOS). If you have opted in to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymized crash reports and diagnostics for the CookCraft app. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements on your device.
2. How We Use Information
We use the limited data described above only to:
- Deliver recipe pages and API responses to your device.
- Diagnose errors, fix bugs, and improve performance.
- Protect the Service against abuse, fraud, and security threats.
- Understand overall traffic patterns at an aggregate level.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not engage in cross-app or cross-site tracking.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Service. Each provider receives only the information necessary to perform its function and is contractually or commercially restricted in how it may use that data.
- Vercel — hosts the website and API. Vercel processes request metadata (such as IP address and user-agent) as part of serving content. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
- Apple — distributes the iOS application through TestFlight and the App Store and may provide us with anonymized crash reports and aggregated install metrics. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts— serves the web fonts used on the site. When fonts are loaded from Google's CDN, Google may receive your IP address and user-agent.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
CookCraft does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The website does not require cookies to function. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for security, load balancing, or fraud prevention; these do not identify you personally and are not used for advertising.
5. Data Stored on Your Device
The iOS app may use local device storage (managed by iOS) to cache recipes, images, or app preferences so the app works smoothly and offline where applicable. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. You can clear it by deleting the app.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at veljanoskimihail@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data we hold about you, and the right to object to certain processing or to data portability. Because we do not maintain user accounts and only receive minimal request metadata, in most cases we hold no information that can be linked back to you individually.
To make a request or ask a question about your rights, email us at veljanoskimihail@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Data Retention
Server access logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period (in most cases, up to 30 days) for operational, security, and debugging purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymized. Aggregate, non-identifying metrics may be retained longer.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Service, including HTTPS encryption for all traffic. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Users
The Service is operated from outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. If you access the Service from those regions, your request metadata may be transferred to and processed in countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Contact Us
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our handling of your information, please contact us at veljanoskimihail@gmail.com.
