๐จโ๐ณMethod
Bake the Egg Buns
6 minHeat a non-stick skillet over medium heat (or use a whoopie pie pan in the oven) and coat generously with zero-calorie cooking spray. Whisk the whole egg, liquid egg whites, Parmesan, salt, and baking powder together in a small bowl. Pour the mixture into two equal-sized rounds in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they are firm, golden brown, and resemble flat buns. Remove and set aside.
Form the Patty
2 minTake your 200g of extra-lean ground beef and shape it into a thick, round patty. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Cook and Ooze
8 minHeat the skillet to medium-high heat with another quick spray of cooking oil. Cook the beef patty for 4-5 minutes on the first side to develop a good crust. Flip the patty, immediately place your slice of low-fat Edam cheese on top, add a tiny splash of water to the pan, and cover with a lid for 3 minutes. The steam will cook the burger through and turn the cheese perfectly gooey.
Assemble
1 minPlace your bottom "egg bun" on a plate. Spread your garlic Greek yogurt (white sauce) over it. Add a layer of fresh arugula. Carefully place the massive, cheesy beef patty on top. Drizzle with the sugar-free BBQ sauce, and cap it with the top "egg bun."
Serve
